Montgomery County launched the 'Be Active Montgomery!' campaign on June 8 at the South Germantown Recreation Park. The program is designed to promote overall health and wellness. Council Vice president Craig Rice was at the event that featured games, fitness, performances, QuickStart tennis, zumba, healthy food vendors and more. Recreation Director Gabriel Albornoz addressed the attendees. Summer fitness events around the county include:

Damascus Senior Center Drop by on Friday, August 30 for the Senior Center Annual Luau dancing.
Potomac Community Recreation Center Each week we offer senior Bone Builders, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10am, 10-11am. Or try the Table Tennis Club.
Clara Barton Neighborhood Recreation Center Mon. and Wed. at 9am., Walk Cabin John, weather permitting, from the Center to Glen Echo Park. Or if you want something more energetic, try the Zumba Fitness.
